Power Verse: Ephesians 5:1-21

If people were examining my “walk”, would they call me an imitator of God? It is important that we live our lives that encourage people, that they see God in us. Here are the things that we are supposed to do:
Walk in LOVE
– God is love (1 John 4:8)
– We need to love our fellow Christians and put their needs above our own, just as Jesus did for us (Ephesians 5:2)
Walk in LIGHT
– Because ‘God is light, and there is no darkness in Him’ (1 John 1:5)
– This means not getting tangled in sinful patterns of living. Rather, our lives should be characterized by what is “Good and Right and True” (Ephesians 5:9)
Walk in WISDOM
– Because “God is so wise” (Job 9:4)
– We are supposed to be careful about the life choices we make and be filled with God’s Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:15, 18)
We need to remember that other people are studying us, looking for any likeness to God that they can see. And God wants us to live so that our lives will encourage people to get to know Him.
This is why He says, “Be Holy because I AM HOLY.” (Leviticus 11:45)
